Promotions

This is an early working draft. It is scaffolding to build the real thing, not authoritative legal text, and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Do not rely on it.

Our Terms & Conditions are the base, and they always apply. For Courier merchants that is the Business Terms & Conditions. Everything you do with kwip is covered by them, whether you are on a promotion or not.

These promotion terms sit on top of that base. They add conditions that apply to one specific offer. Where a promotion term and the base terms say different things about that offer, the promotion term is the one that governs it. Anything a promotion does not mention is covered by the base terms as normal.

Each promotion below carries its own conditions. Taking one does not enrol you in the other.

10 free deliveries

New Courier merchants get their first 10 deliveries at no charge, which is €39.90 ex VAT at the current base rate.

When it starts. The 10 deliveries are granted once you add a card and we validate it. They are not granted when you create your account, and nothing is held for you before the card is on file.

How long you have. Thirty days from the moment the offer starts. Anything unused at the end of that window expires, and the window is not extended.

Which deliveries qualify. A free delivery is one that would otherwise be charged at the base rate and nothing else: a single parcel within the standard size tier, going to a Malta address, entered and labelled by you, with no surcharges of any kind. So it does not cover a delivery that crosses to Gozo, one with cash on delivery, an oversized parcel, an extra parcel to the same address, an order we enter or label for you, a premium confirmation tier, or extra cover.

A delivery with a surcharge does not use one up. If any surcharge applies, that delivery is priced normally and charged to your card, and your remaining free deliveries stay exactly where they are for the rest of the window. You do not lose one by sending a parcel that does not qualify.

Once per business. The offer is granted a single time. It is not available again on another brand, another location, or a new account for the same business.

No cash value. Free deliveries cannot be exchanged for money, credit, or a discount on anything else, and cannot be transferred to another business.

The 12-month rate lock

Merchants who sign up before the cutoff date keep the €3.99 ex VAT base rate for twelve months from the day they join.

The cutoff date is being confirmed and will be published here before the offer opens. TBC.

What the lock covers. The base rate per drop, and only that. If we change our published base rate during your twelve months, yours stays where it is until the twelve months are up.

What it does not cover. Surcharges, and anything that is not the base rate, follow the price sheet in force at the time. We still give you the thirty days' notice of any change that the Business Terms require.

What happens at the end. The lock ends twelve months after you join and you move to the published base rate then in force. We will tell you before that happens.

If we suspend or close your account

If we suspend or end your account, any promotion you are on ends with it. Unused free deliveries stop being available and any rate lock ends. Unused free deliveries carry no cash value, so there is nothing to refund there.

Money and goods are treated differently, and are not affected by this. Any prepaid balance is refunded to you, parcels we are holding go back to you, and any payment we collected on your behalf is settled as normal.

Changing or withdrawing a promotion

We may change or withdraw a promotion for new signups at any time, and the version on this page is always the current one. If you are already on a promotion, the terms you accepted at the time are the ones that apply to you.

Anything a promotion above does not cover is governed by those.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malta, and the courts of Malta have jurisdiction over any dispute.
